Kari Rauh Hung is a holistic workforce development consultant and coach committed to connecting individuals and communities to resources that promote holistic development and wellbeing. She has a special passion for working with students at the outset of their careers and individuals who are forced to change career direction due to changing life situations or injury.

Kari began her career as a clinical massage therapist working with individuals to recover from injury and accomplish their health goals. She was forced to change directions upon developing chronic pain and experiencing a life-altering injury in a car accident, and she intimately understands the pain and disorientation that are a part of such transitions. In her work as a career coach, she loves working with individuals to leverage their unique aptitudes, strengths, values and gifts to serve others and be rewarded by the market.  As a consultant, she loves working with teams to maximize and leverage the strengths of each member and accomplish more collectively than they could individually. She has worked as an organizational consultant and workforce development practitioner for more than 7 years.

Previously, Kari served as the Visiting Assistant Director for Workforce Development at the University of Illinois System, where she executed strategic workforce and economic development initiatives and acted as the Office of the Vice President of Economic Development and Innovation's liaison between Illinois-based corporate, government, community and university stakeholders to build the workforce throughout the state.

She also served as the Director of Workforce Solutions at the Greater Peoria Economic Development Council, where she developed and executed strategies that advanced efforts to develop, attract and retain a skilled workforce in a five-county region. She facilitated the Talent Pipeline Management methodology among employers in the region to identify critical workforce needs, and her outreach contributed to the awarding of the highly competitive Good Jobs Challenge grant from the US Economic Development Administration. Her most meaningful contribution to date has been co-leading CareerSpark, a series of career exploration events for 8th graders and high schoolers that served 15,000+ students in the region by connecting them with local internships and employers during her tenure.​

Kari earned her bachelor’s degree in anthropology, theology and gender studies from Wheaton College and a diploma in clinical massage therapy from Cortiva Institute.
